Match Report
Norwich School U13A vs  St Joseph's College, Ipswich
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

On Saturday the U13A's played their third match of the season, looking for their first win.

Right from the start, the boys set out their intent, by running and tackling aggressively. It was clear that they had learned their lesson from Wednesday's slow start, because they were first at every breakdown, they got organised quickly and they were positive with each other at every break in play.

This was very nearly the perfect performance as the boys scored 10 tries by numerous players, made heaps of line breaks, with plenty of other positive aspects of the game. Perhaps the most impressive aspect was how determined and focused they were throughout the game. It really was a pleasure to see them work together, be positive and be ready for whatever came their way.

In a game with plenty of good things to talk about and very good individual performances, the one that really caught the eye was Freddie Mitchell at fullback. He was outstanding on the counter and safe at the back when needed in defence. That is not to take away from the other positive displays by George Jackson, Irou Ikazoboh, Pieter De Lange, Reuben Hollis, George Taylor and Max Amis. This really was a whole team performance, and one which everyone played their part.

Tries were scored by Ikazoboh (3) De Lange (2) Hood, Elwell, Minns, Amis, Jackson
